Body Spa Sora Ginza: Private Rooms and Facilities
Body Spa Sora The Suite, in central Ginza, runs all five of its treatment rooms as separate private rooms. Soft indirect lighting along the corridor and the calm interior make it feel as cozy as a hotel room.

Instead of an ordinary massage bed, each room has a thick mat and cushions laid on the floor. With a wardrobe, chair and side table, it's a comfortable place to relax.

✅ A look around the private rooms and facilities
The wardrobe in each room has a massage top, bottoms and even underwear ready for you. The door locks too, so you can leave your clothes and belongings and relax during the massage.

The side table has Kuu Body Serum (180ml) and Silc Mist skin moisturizer, plus a hairband, hairbrush and hair clips, everything you need before and after the massage.

The massage space is made up of a thick, soft floor mat, cushions and pillows. Low indirect lighting and a small potted plant give it an even calmer feel.

Using a wide floor mat instead of a massage bed is one of SORA's features. The Deep Flow Stretch stretches your body out on the floor, which is different from a massage on a bed.

✅ My 90-minute made-to-order massage
For the 90-minute made-to-order course (18,000 yen), I chose the SORA Original Oil massage, Eye Strain Therapy and Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage).
The massage began with choosing a scent. Once I'd picked an essential oil, it was added to lukewarm water and my feet were gently washed with it. I liked how carefully they looked after my feet before the massage proper began.

The MARKS&WEB essential oils used for the foot wash come in three types: REFRESH, RELAX and WAKE UP. Being able to pick the scent you like sets a relaxed mood before the massage even starts.

What I liked most about the oil massage was the deep pressure and the therapist's skilled hands. They followed the line of the muscles to find knots, pressed deep, then slowly released them. Throughout, they kept checking whether the pressure was right and adjusted it to suit me.
After my back and shoulders were done, I chose a scent for the MegRhythm steam eye mask. With the warm mask on and my eyes closed, my body relaxed even more, and before I knew it I was being massaged in an almost sleep-like state.

According to the product information, the MegRhythm steam eye mask gives off warm steam at about 40℃ for about 20 minutes. SORA's Eye Strain Therapy covers the area around the eyes, the scalp, neck and shoulders, and with the warm eye mask it felt even more relaxing.
Chi Nei Tsang is a slow massage of the whole abdomen. Unlike the full-body massages I usually get, it worked evenly around my stomach, which felt new, and afterward my insides felt noticeably more settled.
From the oil massage that reached deep into the muscles, to the Eye Strain Therapy with a warm eye mask and the Chi Nei Tsang for the abdomen, I got to try three quite different treatments. It was 90 minutes of letting go of tension and resting in a quiet private room.
Body Spa Sora Ginza: Powder Room and After-Treatment Drink
After the massage, you can take your time getting ready in a window-side powder room looking down on the streets of Ginza. You're free to use the operator's Kuu body and hair products, and an after-treatment drink is served.
✅ Powder room and Kuu amenities
The powder room sits in a corner with glass windows on two sides. The window counter has a table mirror, tissues and power outlets, handy for fixing your hair and makeup after the massage.

I especially liked the view of the Ginza streets below. Coming out of the quiet treatment room and sitting by the window, I was reminded that I was right in the middle of the city.

For hair, there's Kuu Scalp Serum (120ml), Hair Serum Oil (90ml) and individually wrapped hairbrushes. They were all I needed to fix my hair after the massage.

The restroom is just as clean and carefully kept. The washbasin has Kuu Body Serum, Silc Mist, hand soap and a diffuser, with paper towels on the wall.

✅ After-treatment drink
When the massage is over, you can choose sencha (煎茶), yuzu tea, a herbal cordial or coffee.

I chose sencha, and the hot tea came in a glass. Sipping it slowly while looking down on the Ginza streets let me stretch out the relaxed feeling from the massage a little longer.

From the quiet massage in central Ginza to finishing with a cup of hot tea by the window, I was happy with the whole visit.
