Shinozaki Station is the most crowded station after the event ends; in the past there have been waits of about 2 hours just to get into the station. Meet up at the plaza in front of the north exit. Don’t wait inside the station or around the entrances. The west exit is closed around 20:00-23:00, so use the south exit when heading home. Charge your transit card in advance.

① Paper ticket | received at a Japanese hotel or acquaintance’s address (※ 1st sale only)

It’s only delivered to an address in Japan; overseas delivery isn’t supported. To receive it at a hotel, first check whether they can accept and hold mail before check-in. Paper tickets can only be chosen when buying by July 5.

② E-ticket | requires a Japanese mobile phone number

You need a Tixplus (Chiketpura) membership and a Japanese mobile number starting with 070, 080, or 090. Overseas phone numbers, data-only eSIM/SIM, and tablets can’t be used, and you can’t enter with a screenshot.

So for travelers without a Japanese mobile number, a realistic approach is to buy a paper ticket by July 5 and first confirm whether you can actually receive it at your hotel or an acquaintance’s address.

Edogawa Ward Fireworks is held on the same day as the Ichikawa Citizens’ Fireworks across the river in Chiba. The two aren’t launching separate fireworks; you watch the roughly 14,000 fireworks launched from Edogawa from both banks. Ichikawa-side tickets can be reserved online without a membership and then picked up and paid for at a 7-Eleven in Japan.

Sold-out seats can be additionally bought at Tixplus Trade, scheduled to open in mid-July 2026. It’s an official resale service connecting people who want to transfer tickets with those who want to buy; unofficial resale is prohibited.

It’s an official transfer at face value, with a separate service fee. Tickets bought on or after July 11 can’t be listed for resale. You can apply once an existing buyer registers a ticket for resale; when no tickets are registered, it shows as “awaiting listing.” Buyers are decided not first-come but by a daily lottery after 12:00 noon. If you’re not selected, it automatically carries over to the next day’s lottery, and you can cancel your application until you win. After winning, you must pay within that day, and winning the resale isn’t guaranteed.

🚨 Tickets bought through resale are issued as e-tickets even if they were originally paper tickets. When applying, you need a Japanese mobile number starting with 070, 080, or 090 and a smartphone using that number. Edogawa Ward Fireworks runs its venue center as paid seating, so without a ticket you’ll need to use the general viewing areas outside the paid seats.

The center of the Edogawa riverside venue is paid seating, but outside the paid seats there are movement routes and viewing areas for general spectators. The Shinozaki Station side is close to the venue but the most crowded; you can also reach the riverside from the Koiwa Station and Edogawa Station directions. On the event day, follow the on-site signs and the general-spectator guidance routes.

Q. Is it canceled if it rains?

It goes ahead as scheduled in light rain, but it may be canceled if a heavy-rain, flood, storm, or fire warning is issued, or if strong wind or lightning risk makes a safe event impossible. It may also be canceled if a special heatstroke alert is issued. If it’s stopped after the event has started, paid-seat tickets are not refunded.

Q. What time is the 1,000-shots-in-5-seconds opening?

The fireworks start at 19:15 with an opening that launches 1,000 shots in 5 seconds. The first program is “Beginning: A New Era,” Edogawa Ward Fireworks’ signature production set to music.

Q. Can I go by car or bicycle?

You can’t go to the venue by car or bicycle, and there’s no dedicated venue parking. Use public transit on the event day.

Q. From what time can I enter the paid seats?

Paid seats open for entry from 16:00. The entrances and passages can get crowded right before the launch, so it’s best to arrive with time to spare.

Q. How do the Zone F, G, H, and I free seats work?

Zones F, G, H, and I are paid free-seating that require a ticket. On entry, each person is given a 90x90cm blue sheet, and you choose your viewing spot first-come within the zone. You can’t secure extra space with a personal mat, but a low chair with a backrest of about 30cm is allowed.
