Gotojin Hamamatsucho: A Nine-Course Goto Islands Dinner
Tokyo Mate
A course dinner at Gotojin, a minute's walk from Hamamatsucho Station. From a sashimi platter built around a whole Goto horse mackerel to wagyu steamed in a seiro basket and a bowl of chilled Goto udon to finish, here is what the nine courses were.

Four kinds on a long wooden board. One horse mackerel served whole, head and tail still on, and three other cuts alongside it. This came as the mukouzuke, the sashimi course.
What the course was
A card with the day’s course on it was waiting at the table. This one was “Gouka! Aji no Sugata-iri Otsukuri to Wagyu no Seiro-mushi Course”, nine dishes in all.
