The 2026 Japan McDonald's Pokemon Happy Meal is on sale from August 7 for about three weeks. Here are the wave 1, 2 and 3 dates and all 12 toys, including Pikachu, Eevee and Snorlax. Check the purchase limit and whether Pokemon cards are included too.
Japan McDonald’s Pokemon Happy Meal sale period and purchase limit
The official product name for the Happy Meal at McDonald's Japan is Happy Set (ハッピーセット).
The 2026 Pokemon Happy Meal is scheduled to run from Friday, August 7 for about three weeks. The toys are limited in quantity, so it may end early once stock runs out.
For the three days from Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9 in particular, you can buy up to six per group per payment.

You get one of the 12 that appeared in waves 1 and 2, and if that toy is sold out, a toy from a past run may be given instead.

Pokemon Happy Meal wave 1: 6 toys, August 7 to 13
Wave 1 features the starter Pokemon from generations 1 through 5 plus Pikachu. The toys center on hands-on play: flicking discs, tossing rings, and spinning tops.
① Disc shooter: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle
You set the Pokemon panel and the Poke Ball disc on the base, then push the disc from behind with your finger to shoot it.
② Wobbling ring toss: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile
You stand the Pokemon panel on the base and throw rings representing the Grass, Fire and Water types to land them on it.
③ Spinning top: Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip
You slot the Pokemon panel into the base and spin it like a top.
④ Rolling ring: Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup
Stand the ring up and it rolls like a tire; lay it flat and it spins like a top.
⑤ Squeeze shooter: Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott
You attach the Pokemon panel to the disc, load it into the shooting arm, and squeeze the grip to fire the disc.
⑥ Pikachu Poke Ball roller
Roll the Poke Ball along by hand and Pikachu's tail moves side to side.
Pokemon Happy Meal wave 2: 6 toys, August 14 to 20
Wave 2 features the starter Pokemon from generations 6 through 9 plus Eevee and Snorlax. Alongside the spinner and shooter toys, it also includes a sticker case and a name tag.
① Target hockey: Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie
You stand the Pokemon panel on the base and hit the disc to strike a Poke Ball shaped target.
② Build-it spinner: Rowlet, Litten, Popplio
You connect three parts to complete the spinner, then slot the Pokemon panel into the center and spin it.
③ Button disc shooter: Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble
You load the disc into the base and press the side button to fire it.
④ Poke Ball sticker case: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly
A Poke Ball shaped case with Pokemon stickers inside. A Pokemon panel is included as well, so you can slot it into the base.
⑤ Eevee Poke Ball roller
Roll the Poke Ball along by hand and Eevee's tail moves side to side.
⑥ Snorlax name tag for outings
A card case style key holder that takes the name card included or any card you like. It has a ring, so you can hang it on a bag.
30 Pokemon and how to join the Happy Collection QR
This Pokemon Happy Meal features 30 Pokemon in total across the 12 toys. To mark Pokemon's 30th anniversary, it includes the starter Pokemon from every generation plus Pikachu, Eevee and Snorlax. The Pokemon panel that comes with each toy has a hologram front, and the back carries the Pokemon's name and Pokedex number.
You can also join Pokemon Happy Collection, where you collect Pokemon on your smartphone in the store.

- ② Get a Pokemon on screen.
- ③ You can collect three times a day, up to nine in total.
Scan the QR code at a McDonald's store again the next day and you can take part again.
The period runs from 05:00 on Friday, August 7, 2026 through 23:59 on Thursday, August 27.
