Here are the light-up hours, the sunflower varieties, the main things to see and how to get there.

Kasai Rinkai Park Sunflowers 2026: The Basics
"Flower and Light Movement" at Kasai Rinkai Park (葛西臨海公園) is a Tokyo Metropolitan Government project that builds large flower beds in metropolitan parks and stages seasonal flower-and-light displays. 2026 marks the project's 5th anniversary.
This year's theme at Kasai Rinkai Park is "Magic Hour: the time when life carries on". Just as the sky changes color at sunset, the lighting around the park shifts from orange to pink to purple.
Park entry, the sunflower field and the night light-up are all free. Tokyo Sea Life Park and the Ferris wheel charge separate fees.

25,000 Sunflowers: Varieties and Photo Spots
A sunflower field of about 3,800㎡ is planted on the lawn plaza next to the Ferris wheel, with about 25,000 sunflowers.
Two varieties are on show in 2026: Valentine and Haruka's Sunflower.
Valentine is a single-bloom variety in a soft creamy yellow, a gentle color that also works well in flower arrangements.
Haruka's Sunflower carries on the seeds of a sunflower that bloomed the year after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, on the site of the home of Haruka Kato, a sixth-grader who died in the disaster.
By day you can see the yellow sunflower field against the blue sky and the Ferris wheel. In the evening, warm-toned lighting changes it into a different scene from daytime.
Inside the sunflower field there is also a "KASAI" sign photo spot decorated with fresh flowers.

Light-Up Hours and the Six Zones
The light-up runs every day of the event, from 18:00 to 23:00.
It is not just the sunflower field that gets lit: six zones stage different light displays, from the central promenade leading out of the station to the aquarium entrance and the area around Crystal View.

| Zone | Location and display |
