Nemuro Hanamaru Sapporo Susukino: Wait, Menu & Prices
Tokyo Mate
Nemuro Hanamaru in Sapporo is a conveyor-belt sushi chain that started in Nemuro, Hokkaido, and a plate of sushi costs 165-473 yen including tax. The Cocono Susukino branch I visited hands out numbered tickets from 10am and doesn't take seat reservations. I've also compared it with the two branches around Sapporo Station.

Nemuro Hanamaru Cocono Susukino: info

⚠️ On Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October 2026, all Hokkaido branches close temporarily for staff training, and Cocono Susukino is closed both days. If you're going at the end of October, plan for the 26th or earlier, or the 29th or later. New Year holiday hours will be posted on the website once decided.
From Sapporo Station you can walk to Susukino underground, through the Chi-Ka-Ho underground walkway in front of the station and the Pole Town shopping arcade. Because it's all connected underground, you can get there without going outside even on rainy or snowy days.

Cocono Susukino: waiting and how the tickets work
At Cocono Susukino you can get a numbered ticket from the machine in front of the restaurant from 10am.
Scan the QR code on the ticket with your phone and you can check how many groups are still ahead of you from outside the restaurant, and get a call notification by LINE or email.

✅ From ticket to table
① Take a numbered ticket from the machine in front of the restaurant.
② Check the queue with the QR code on the ticket and set up LINE or email notifications.
③ When you're called, your whole group goes back to the restaurant together.
⚠️ If 15 minutes pass after you're called, your place is cancelled and you have to take a new ticket.
📌 According to Hanamaru's official guidance, at Cocono Susukino people with tickets up to around number 25 often get in right after opening. It depends on the queue on the day, though.
✅ My actual wait
I took a ticket at 6pm on a Monday and got in at 7pm. The actual wait was about an hour.
On the day I went, the waiting list closed at 6:30pm. If you're planning to go in the evening, check the queue status in advance.

✅ Checking the queue
You can see the current number of groups waiting at Cocono Susukino on the Hanamaru official website. Outside opening hours, or once the waiting list has closed, the number may show as "-".

✅ A 13-plate course to enjoy it like omakase
I put together a 13-plate course from the Nemuro Hanamaru grand menu to enjoy it like omakase. It isn't a set sold in the restaurant. It's a suggested ordering sequence that starts with light sushi, moves through richer and seared sushi, and finishes with a roll and egg.
Step 1. Start light
1. KB9 Sea bream nigiri 352 yen
2. NE5 Squid with yuzu salt nigiri 352 yen
3. KA3 Two-storey raw scallop nigiri (1 piece) 352 yen
4. BT5 Sweet shrimp nigiri 286 yen
It starts with the clean taste of sea bream, then squid with a hint of yuzu, then the sweetness of scallop and sweet shrimp.

Step 2. Red meat and rich sushi
5. KA5 Bluefin tuna akami (1 piece) 286 yen
6. BK9 Salmon nigiri 286 yen
7. NP3 Bluefin tuna chutoro (1 piece) 352 yen
8. NK9 Hokkigai (surf clam) nigiri 473 yen
It goes from lean tuna akami to salmon and chutoro. At the end, the chewy texture of hokkigai (surf clam) changes things up.

Step 3. Rich flavours and seared sushi
9. KP9 Seared engawa with soy sauce nigiri 352 yen
10. NT9 Salmon roe gunkan 473 yen
11. NT3 Eel nigiri 473 yen
It moves from the nutty seared engawa to the salty umami of salmon roe and the sweet sauce on the eel.

Step 4. Finish with a roll and egg
12. EN3 Tuna roll (tekkamaki) 286 yen
13. AB3 Egg nigiri 165 yen
The roll brings the flavours down a notch, and the egg nigiri finishes it off.

The 13 plates come to 4,488 yen in total, a suggested combination for enjoying Nemuro Hanamaru like omakase.
※ Prices are from the May 2026 grand menu, checked on 7 October 2026.
Other Nemuro Hanamaru branches in Sapporo
There are three Nemuro Hanamaru conveyor-belt sushi branches in central Sapporo: Stellar Place at JR Sapporo Station, miredo connected to the Chi-Ka-Ho underground walkway, and Cocono Susukino at Susukino Station.

The three branches share the same grand menu, while seasonal and limited items can differ by branch and time of visit. None of them take seat reservations, and all hand out numbered tickets from 10am. The rule that you must be back within 15 minutes of being called is the same too.
① Nemuro Hanamaru JR Tower Stellar Place
According to the official guidance, tickets 1-30 often get in when the restaurant opens at 11am. If you have one of those numbers, wait in front of the restaurant from about 10:50.
Inside there's also a tachigui (立食い) area where you eat sushi standing. The regular seats use the ticket machine, but for tachigui you write your name on a separate waiting list. The menu and prices are the same as the regular conveyor-belt seats, and sushi comes one or two pieces per plate depending on the item.
