Shibuya Scramble Square Tsutaya Share Lounge: Night View, Seats & Food
Tokyo Mate
A guide to using the Tsutaya Share Lounge on the 11th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square. I've put together recommended seats for Shibuya's night view and blue hour, the free food and drinks, and the seasonal character of all three lounges (Shibuya, Daikanyama, and Roppongi) from my own visit.

Shibuya Scramble Square Share Lounge: Location & Price
The Tsutaya Bookstore Share Lounge (SHARE LOUNGE) is a time-based lounge that combines books, drinks and snacks, and a workspace. You can freely help yourself to drinks and snacks while reading a book or mixing work with rest.
The Shibuya Scramble Square Share Lounge is on the 11th floor of a building directly connected to Shibuya Station, and from the window seats you can see the view over central Shibuya.

⚠️ Don’t confuse it with other Shibuya branches
Around Shibuya Station, besides the Shibuya Scramble Square branch, there are several Share Lounges such as SHIBUYA TSUTAYA 4F, Olive LOUNGE Shibuya 2F, and Shibuya Sakura Stage 4F.
The Shibuya store covered in this post is the one on the 11th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square.

Shibuya Share Lounge: View & Night View
The biggest thing that sets the Shibuya Scramble Square Share Lounge apart from other Tsutaya branches is the view over central Shibuya from the 11th-floor windows.
You can take in everything from the daytime scenery to blue hour and the night view while enjoying drinks and snacks, which makes it a good option for travelers looking for a place in Shibuya to rest or work with a view.

From day to blue hour
During the day, you can clearly see the buildings around Shibuya Station and the densely connected cityscape.
As the sun begins to set, the color of the sky gradually changes, and as lights come on across the city’s buildings and signs, a Shibuya night view unlike the daytime unfolds. Blue hour is the short window from around sunset until just after the sun goes down, and its start time and duration vary by season and weather.
If you want to see both blue hour and the night view, check the sunset time for the day of your visit and try to arrive about 30 minutes beforehand.

Recommended seats for the view
If the view is your goal, check the window-facing seats first after you enter.
You can look down over the buildings around Shibuya Scramble Square and the Shibuya Station area and take in the movement of the city at a relaxed pace. That said, the window seats aren’t separate viewing seats; they’re regular seats shared with other guests. On weekends or around sunset, the seat you want may not be available.

From single seats to four-person seats
The Shibuya Share Lounge has everything from single seats to two-, three-, and four-person seats.
There are seats good for reading or working alone as well as seats good for chatting with a companion, so you can choose based on the purpose of your visit.

High-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets, and monitors are available, and chargers and cables can be borrowed for free. You can freely browse the books kept in the space, and there were toys and office supplies available too.

Free food and drinks
The soft-drink plan rate includes free drinks and free snacks.

There were a variety of snacks including coffee, tea, and soft drinks as well as sweets and nuts, and the items offered may vary depending on the time of your visit and stock.
※ The food and snack selection is based on a visit on June 21, 2026.

Comparing the 3 Tsutaya Share Lounges: A Seasonal Guide
The Shibuya, Daikanyama, and Roppongi Tsutaya Share Lounges each differ in their view, atmosphere, and the travel routes around them, so it’s good to choose based on the purpose of your visit.
Comparing the 3 Tsutaya Share Lounges
| Branch | Highlight | Hours & nearby |
|---|---|---|
| Shibuya | 11F city view, blue hour, night view |
|
| Daikanyama | Calm atmosphere among greenery |
|
| Roppongi | Christmas illumination |

Seasonal Share Lounge recommendations
The seasonal scenery and sights around the Shibuya, Daikanyama, and Roppongi Share Lounges were clearly different. Rather than one branch always being the best, it’s good to choose based on the season you visit Tokyo and your travel plans.
🌸 Spring: Daikanyama for Cherry Blossom Walks
In spring, I recommend the Daikanyama Tsutaya Share Lounge.
Daikanyama T-SITE is a space blended with greenery, so it’s nice to slowly walk around Daikanyama and Nakameguro before or after using the lounge. Since it’s open from 7 in the early morning, it works well for reading a book or having tea during the relatively quiet hours and then heading out on a cherry-blossom walk.

🌿 Summer & Autumn: Shibuya for Blue Hour
In summer and autumn, the biggest draw is the blue hour and city night view seen from the 11th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square.
In summer the sun sets late, so it’s good to visit after finishing your afternoon plans, and in autumn there’s little rainfall and many clear days, which makes it a good spot for the Shibuya night view. If you want to see everything from blue hour to the night view, check the sunset time for the day and I recommend arriving about 30 minutes beforehand.

🎄 Winter: Roppongi for Illumination
In winter, I recommend the Roppongi Tsutaya Share Lounge.
Roppongi Tsutaya sits on Roppongi Hills’ Keyakizaka street, so it’s great for enjoying the winter Christmas illumination. Sitting in a window seat at the Share Lounge, you can enjoy books and drinks while taking in the Keyakizaka illumination outside the window.
👉 Roppongi Tsutaya Bookstore Share Lounge Review

The Shibuya Scramble Square Tsutaya Share Lounge is a space where you can enjoy drinks and snacks while taking in the central Shibuya view, blue hour, and night view. I recommend it for travelers looking for a place in Shibuya to rest with a view.
Daikanyama suits a spring cherry-blossom walk, Shibuya suits the summer and autumn night view, and Roppongi suits the winter Christmas illumination. Compare the three based on the season you visit and your travel route.
