Wadakura Fountain Park is a quiet pocket in the middle of central Tokyo. After dark, the fountain lighting comes on and the place takes on a different atmosphere.

How to Get to Wadakura Fountain Park Starbucks
The closest stations are Nijubashimae and Otemachi.
- Nijubashimae Station — Exit D2
- Otemachi Station — Exit D6
It's also walkable from Tokyo Station, Yurakucho Station, and Hibiya Station, and from the Marunouchi Building or KITTE.
The Night View Walk
The Wadakura area was once the entrance of old Edo Bay, where fishing was active before the Edo period. Wadakura Bridge was an important passage for entering Edo Castle.
This is Wadakura Bridge, leading into Edo Castle's Wadakura Gate. The reflection of the bridge on the moat at night is beautiful.
You pass the Wadakura Gate site. From the Shin-Marunouchi Building, crossing Wadakura Bridge is the shorter route.
You arrive at the park. There are plenty of benches around the perimeter — great for a takeaway lunch during the day.
The fountain happened to switch on. On weekends it runs 4 times an hour. Hard to believe a quiet pocket like this exists in the middle of the office towers — I stayed and watched the night view for a while.
I walked around the fountain and took some photos.
Stopped at Starbucks and ordered a hot latte. Watched the water and soaked in the atmosphere.
Epilogue
Wadakura Fountain Park is also beautiful in the morning light. The fountain starts at 10:00, so try to fit it into your itinerary — it's a good place to reset on a long Tokyo day.
